Jakub Horácek is a 6’1ft 170lb duel threat QB from the Czech Republic. While being one of the youngest starter in the Czech Junior League he enjoyed a great season in 2016. He lead his Prague Black Panthers U19 team to the championship game loosing to the Pardubice Stallions. The 17-year-old gun slinger has been honing his skills on the field and in the weight room with his coach John Corkle. Horácek says coach Corkle has been key to his development as a QB and plans to add an additional 10-15lb of muscle this off season.
Horácek s commitment to his team cannot be questions, after his school day is completed he travels over three hours to practice from his hometown Brno and returns home at about 1am. After the tough loss in the championship game Horácek and his team only have one goal for the coming season. “For 2017 my brothers and my goal is to go undefeated and win the championship. I know I maybe not be the tallest or heaviest, but those features do not define my skill set”, said Horacek.
