Victor Stoffel Commits to Temple

By Alex McLachlan

This week, Swedish phenom Victor Stoffel ended a long recruitment process with a commitment to Temple University, in Philadelphia. Stoffel came up the ranks at Swedish U19s champions, the Stockholm Mean Machines, and thrived there, becoming a dominant force on the defensive line.

However, Temple recruited Stoffel to play offensive line. This is no doubt in part thanks to his impressive physical measurements, coming in at 6’7 and 245lbs. Whilst he may have to add some mass, this gives him the ideal length to play Tackle at an incredibly high level.

Speaking to Europe’s Elite, Stoffel had this to say:

“I’m very happy to have committed to Temple. I’m also excited but nervous to switch position to OT.”

When talking about any potential cultural shocks that moving to America might bring, Stoffel also seemed calm and collected, and expects no issues. “Well I lived in the US as an exchange student a couple years ago so I feel pretty good about moving there.” He added “I’ve also talked to Isaac [fellow Swede Isaac Moore, who also plays at Temple] who likes it at Temple so I think I’ll adapt well”.

We wish Victor all the best, and look forward to seeing his progress!
