Europe’s Elite had the opportunity to interview one of the biggest prospects of the 2020 recruiting class Thomas Hugo. Standing at 6’9 320 lbs the Denmark native has the size every college coach is searching for.
EE: How long have you been playing football?
HUGO: I started playing football back in October 2017, so that would be around 1 1/2 years.
EE: What are your strengths as a player ?
HUGO: Well, it’s always hard to say what strengths you have, but I have a strict work ethic, if we work on a play, I will focus 110% on learning it and I will ask if I don’t understand it. If someone doesn’t understand it either, I will make sure to help them out as well. I’m a big friendly guy outside the field but you can also expect that I will rip my enemy apart when I hit the field on game day. My mindset is that, when I hit the field, nobody. Touches. My. QB.
EE: Have you taken the SAT?
HUGO: I haven’t taken the SAT yet, but i’m going to take it on May 4’th
EE: Who do you watch the most and try to play like?
HUGO: The player I watch the most is Andreas Knappe(Denmark), LT from the practice squad on Denver Broncos, he’s a big inspiration of mine.
EE: How was your season last year?
HUGO: My season ended out pretty good I would say, but I’m certain I will make it better this year! As it was my first year of balling there was many mistakes from my side which I’ve been working hard on fixing. Also by training my steps, speed and strength for 2 hours a day.
EE: What are your expectations for this year?
HUGO: My expectations is that I will both get stronger and faster. I also expect to be a contender for the best o-line award on my team for this years Triangle Razorbacks Awards Show. Else I’m doing all I can to bring back home our trophy and a new shiny ring!
EE: Why should a team recruit you?
HUGO: As I said earlier, I’m a very work minded guy, I come to work to win and nothing else, I will prepare my self as good as I can before a game so I perform my best for each game. Even If it’s a bottom team. No mercy but the mercy rule. I’m in it to win it.
