Great defensive game between Great Britain and Finland. The game was riddled with mistakes as both teams were trying to find their groove offensively. Together both teams turned the ball over 17 times.
Offensively Finland was led by a two headed rushing attack, lassi pajarinen had 21 carries for 142 yards, henri kaasinen had 19 Carrie’s for 116 yards. Finland’s Eerola showed flashes in the passing game, catching 4 passes for 30 yards. His shinning moment came on special teams where he returned a punt for a 73 yard touch down.
On offense Great Britain struggles to get in a rhythm, totaling only 122 yards on the day offensively. One bright spot on their offense was WR harry Buckland who racked up 133 yards on 4 catches.
Defensively two players stood out on GB defense, #46 Fetanmi Okunlola who was everywhere on the field. No matter where the ball was he was chasing it down or making the tackle. In the secondary Vinnie Maxfield was a ball hawk finishing with 1 interception, 3 pass break ups and several big hits that roared the crowed.
Team Finaland dominant OL and run game were no match for GB defense. Despite the 10 fumbles Finland pulled away with a 22-11 win. Finland will face the winner of the Italian vs Spain game.
