Jordan Genmark Heath
Jordan Genmark Heath, a linebacker out of UCLA, is one of the few European players entering the NFL Draft this year at linebacker position. The Sweden native who played for Notre Dame prior to his transfer stands at 6’1ft & 226lbs. After his senior season at UCLA, Jordan is ready to make the step into the NFL. Right away, he can contribute in Special Teams and be a rotational Inside Linebacker for early downs. He is a good athlete with 4.67 speed, a 36,5” vertical and a 10,02” broad jump. He is a developmental guy though, as most teams won’t be comfortable letting him start right away. He could become a reliable player on defense as well as on special teams in the long term. Teams that are betting on Jordans upside will consider
drafting him in the later rounds of the draft or sign him an a priority undrafted free agent.
Bam Olaseni
Bam Olaseni, a London native who played for Utah University, possesses some of the most insane measurements ever recorded by anNFL prospect. 6’7, 340lbs, 36.5” arm length and an 88 3/8” wingspan, this is the widest of any current NFL players or NFL draft prospects. While he is a redshirt Senior and already 26 years old,he is still learning the position. He is an impact run blocker right away with the upside of becoming a
decent pass protector as well. While being technically raw, his talents and physical tools could get him drafted in the 5th-7th round. If he gets undrafted, a team which understands how to develop him will gladly sign him to boost their tackle depth or even to move him to guard at first.
George Karlaftis
A 21 year old Junior out of the University of Purdue, the Greek native George Karlaftis is rising up draft boards over the past few weeks. Standing at 6’4 266lbs, Karlaftis is shining with his athleticism, his constant running motor, his pure power and his mentality. While not being the most agile or bending edge in this class, his strength and his polished moves are promising at least. He can play 3-4 and 4-3 in pretty much any system the DCs in the league want him to, and will make an impact no matter where he lands.
His playing style reminds me a lot of Kwity Paye who went 21st overall to the Colts in the 2021 draft and, his intriguing combination of power and athleticism lets NFL GMs consider calling his name in the 1st round.
