December 15th presented the first opportunity for young international college prospects in the Class of 2022 to sign their national letter of intent with their dream university. The signing period began on Wednesday, December 15th, but athletes have until Friday, December 17th to partake in this year’s early signing period. Numerous international athletes are expected to make their big decision during this time. Not even a full 2 days in and we have already seen numerous major announcements which included schools such as the University of Michigan, Vanderbilt University, and Texas A&M.
As expected sevarl athletes that are ranked in the top 25 of our top 150 ranking board signed their NLI yesterday. German TE/WR Marlin Klein was no surprise yesterday as he signed with the University of Michigan. Klein first committed to play for the Wolverines back in September of 2020. While his high school teammates Linus Zunk and Darren Agu decided to continue their dynamic duo run as they signed to take their talents to the University of Vanderbilt. Elsewhere, we saw international athletes sign with universities in the Big Ten, SEC, and Conference USA.
But the most anticipated signing of the year will not be from an athlete who played high school football in the states. Nor an international athlete who played at the youth level in Europe or France. Every football fan is anticipating the decision from the #1 Junior College prospect of the year, Jeffrey M’ba from France. M’ba is expected to make his official announcement this upcoming Sunday, December 19th.
