In 2020 many people began to think that sports would never be the same. But in 2021 hundreds to thousands of young people continued to play American football around the globe . Many young men and women took the gridiron last year , and competed at a high level while enjoying a game that they love.

A select few international athletes are lucky enough to be recognized by major media websites in the states or their home countries every year. But many international athletes who are doing some amazing thing still go unnoticed or do not receive enough recognition for their accomplishments on the field.

That is why we are happy to announce we will be recognizing 4 individual athletes as ” International Player of the Year”. We will award one athlete who is playing football at each of the following levels; JUCO (Junior College) , High School Football ( in the US) , Male U19 athlete, Female U19 athlete.

Our staff has done a great job compiling an inital list of names for this award . But we would like to take the time to review any and all nominations from individuals who consider themselves to be a true American Football fan. If you are a coach, player, parent, friend, or just a fan that knows of a player who deserves this award, let us know.

The process is simple.  The international athlete ( not born in the US or did not start playing football in the US) must have played football at the Junior College or High school football level in the US in 2021. Or the athlete must be 19 years old or younger and have played American football with any club team in Europe or Australia in 2021. If the athlete that you wish to nominate meets either of these descriptions , then the athlete can be nominated for this award. Simply send an e-mail to info@europeselite.com telling us the athletes name and the reason why they should win this award.  The winners of this award will be announced on January 14th, 2022
