An interior player whether at the 3 technique or guard. That will be his, and the coach’s choice because his abilities translate to both sides of the ball. Bursts out of his stance. Light on his feet. Energetic through the whistle. Has a second gear when he has the space to run. Enjoys delivering an impact as the tackler or the lead blocker.
As a defender, his energy is felt immediately. He makes it challenging for the blocker to get their hands on him by using a barrage of chops, rips, and swims. Reactive to the ball carrier and fills the gap.
As a guard, he’s an eager lead blocker with the speed and quickness to get out in front of the play. His eyes light up when he sees an opportunity to give a pop that can result in the technique getting wild.
Regardless of which side of the ball he plays, he will be welcomed in either position group.
Given that he stands at 6’6, he flashes encouraging leverage. Anchors his lower half in his stance. Understands to make contact under the shoulder pads. The technique will need to be consistent, but when he puts it together accompanied by his reach, he wins the matchup.
Any coach likes to hear words like accountable and dependable. That being said about a middle linebacker has a nice tune. Consistent, forceful, and well-coached tackling form. Confidence in his commitment to the angle he takes to cut off the runner. A smooth transition from the breakdown position to the drive into the tackle.
A wide receiver as well as a defensive back playing in Austria. I would listen to both arguments for what position is best suited for him.
As a receiver, I see a safety valve for his quarterback. A trustworthy short to intermediate pass catcher. Savvy as a route runner. If he develops more hip dexterity it would compliment the deception he uses to get open.
Now on the defensive side of the ball. That knowledge of the wide receiver position helps him understand offensive tendencies which helps him be in the proper place to make a play. Also given that skill, he can track and find the ball in the air.
A fleet of foot linebacker with a sturdy lower base and a stout mentality filling the gaps. Tracks the ball carrier down and closes the space between him and the runner. Initiates the oncoming collision rather than letting the action come to him. When he meets the running back between the tackle, he holds his ground where his feet are planted.
The video quality was a bit of a challenge. After going back to what I believe is his 2020 season or prior. Look forward seeing more.
