The Football program of Texas A&M is one of the most prestigious of its kind. The Aggies are well known for recruiting high-level athletes to play an important role on their football team. This year’s recruiting class is highly rated and stacked with some of the worlds best recruits. The Aggies recruiting board is currently ranked 3rd in the college football recruiting rankings. The Aggies recruiting class includes four 5-Star athletes as well as fourteen 4-Star recruits. One of those 4-star athletes is none other than Theodor Melin Öhrström from Sweden.
Theodor Melin Öhrström, is a 4-Star player out of Stockholm, Sweden that is listed at 6‘6ft and 230lbs and currently is the 16th ranked Tight End of the class of 2022, according to
247sports.com. Theodor ranks as one of the top international recruits in our ranking system. in 2020 Theo was listed as class of 2023 college prospect. But after his college summer tour in 2021 , he decided to reclassify to the class of 2022. The young tight end from Sweden is the
#2 ranked international in the world for his class on our website. In Sweden he played WR most of the time but his big frame as well as his abilities as a blocker landed him 15 offers from D1-colleges to play the TE position for them. His size, his physical playing style , combined with his abilities as a route runner, result in a very exciting combination of power, size and ball skills for the Aggies offense.
“The recruiting process went really fast. I wanted to decide on my future as fast as possible while not
rushing anything and make the right decision. I chose Texas A&M because the Tight End-Position is a
big part of their offense. I also really like the alumni program and I personally felt at home in this
environment.” ꟷTheodor Melin Öhrström, December 14, 2021
Theodor also has an advice ready for young athletes following the goal of getting recruited: “There are obviously a lot of distractions for a teenager but I never got caught in to them, always did
my thing and kept my eyes on the price!”
