College football’s Early Signing Period (Dec. 16-18) is now only few days away. Believe it or not this is only the 4th year in which the Early Signing Period has been done. Now the month of February will forever be recognized as Signing Day for many college football fans. But December gives athletes and fans something early to celebrate during the holiday season.
As we all know, 2020 has been a crazy year in sports. This has made college recruiting even crazier than before. Athletes could not go to camps or attend college visits. Coaches could not attend games or conduct in home visit. This has made college football recruiting more complicated than ever before. Many coaches were faced with the question “how can I get to know a player if I can never meet him in person”. But just like any other challenge, athletes and coaches were forced to adapt.
The corona virus pandemic created tons of uncertainty for athletes. Earlier this year we witnessed numerous athletes committing to universities at a very early stage in the recruiting process. These athletes may have felt the pressure to commit or sign with a school very early in order to secure a roster spot with their desired school. Many analyst and scouts expect that more athletes than usual will be signing with universities scholarships earlier than usual this year.
Knowing all of this, we know there are many great athletes from Europe who will be participating in the Early Signing Day period. We will be here to cover it all. Our recruiting database has been constantly growing over the past few months. Now it is time to expose our ranking board to fans across the globe. Follow this series for the remainder of the month to keep track of news in college football recruiting and our updated ranking list.
