The past 14 days have been very exciting in for college football fans in Europe. The NCAA has recently announced an end to the recruiting dead period, numerous athletes have announced their college football commits, and more athletes are gaining new offers. Very popular names in recruiting such as Hero Kanu from Germany , and Olaus Alinen of Finland have continued to rack in big time Power 5 universities.
While other athletes such as Linus Zunk -class of 2022 (Germany) and Darren Agu class of 2022 (United Kingdom) have announced commitments to their respected universities.
But there are many other international athletes who are making major moves in college football recruiting. Most recently 2-Star Linebacker Andre Eversley has announced his commitment to play for Division 3 , Dickinson College. Andre Eversley is a very sound linebacker from the United Kingdom who played his last season of high school football at Rabun Gap High School. Once you turn on this young man’s highlight tape it is evident that he is an impact player. He has a great level of lateral quickness and straight line speed for the linebacker position. He will surely be an impact player for Dickinson College next fall.
Pelayo Martinez is another great talent at the defensive back position this if from the United Kingdom who announced his college football commitment this week. Recently Martinez announced that he will play for Tenecologico De Monterrey in Mexico. Monterrey is one of the most respected university teams in the country of Mexico! Martinez had this to say when we asked him why did he commit to Monterrey:
” I felt like the coaching staff were very interested in me. It was also a school who is know for their high level of academics. I just feel Like it is the best fit for me to develop my academic and football career.
